READ THIS FIRST:
The Bible tells us that there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). We could also add to that list: "There is a time to play video games, and there's a time to put them away."
When I was your age I spent WAY too much time in front of video games. Unfortunately, not listening to my parents and being a bad steward of the time that God had given me caused me to lose what I thought was so important. My parents hid my controllers, took my games away, and eventually sold my system before I finally understood that I was playing too much.
When it comes to playing these video games or any others, let's be good stewards of the time that God has given us and exercise one of the fruits of the Spirit, self-control. And remember, God commands us to listen to our parents (Exodus 20:12) and do what they say. If they tell you that it's time to stop playing, honor them and God by obeying them without grumbling.

Ah, the Gameboy... many hours were spent in the car on this great piece of machinery playing Super Mario Land and Metroid II! The only problem? When the lights went out I couldn't play!
You see, back in the day, we old school gamers needed a light shining down on the screen in order for us to see what was going on... otherwise, we were out of luck... unless you were lucky enough to have one of these!

I got a Nintendo on my 10th birthday. I was blown away by the graphics and music in Super Mario Bros!
To this day, the music from R.B.I. Baseball, Metroid, and Contra take me back to my childhood.

My brother and I pooled our money together to buy our first Super Nintendo.
We bonded over games like Super Mario World, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Donkey Kong Country.

Ok, this has got to be the coolest game I've seen in a while! Imagine playing Super Mario Bros. with Link from Zelda or Mega Man!
